Too Kind Stamp Class.....

Finally the sun came out this morning to take some photo's of this weeks stamp class.

We used the Too Kind stamp set for weeks stamp class.  I went with a couple of colour combination either Pink Pirouette and Blushing Bride with the Basic Grey and Smoky Slate.

The other colour combination is Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant with the Basic Grey and Smoky Slate.

I had to disturb Sid from HIS! Conservatory where I take my photo's.  He just would NOT move, what a cheek.....So I placed my cover over him and still he wouldn't move.

Just look at him!  He doesn't actually have all his hair now he went to the hairdressers this afternoon.

September Scrapbook Club....

For this month's Scrapbook Club, I went for a Thankful Theme using Autumn colours.
The colour combination is Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.
The stamp sets used are Gently Falling, Morning Meadow and Flower Shop, with the papers from Sweater Weather.

We have lots of veggies to be Thankful this year, especially after last years wet weather.  The huge sacks we got from the Incentive trip with our pillow gifts on, are perfect for storing our onions.

The weather really helped them dry out super this year.

We have so many squashes this year as well.  I will take a photo of the actual plants but for now this was just one picking.  The back one is a Spaghetti Squash, see the photo's below.  The orange ones are called Uchiki Kuri and they make lovely chips!  Yes just scoop out the inner seeds, slice the huge squash skin and all and roast, WOW! the chips were light and fluffy, like sweet potatoes.

Funny the flowers on squash plants were like mini Hotels for Bees.  We go up to water the allotment most nights and inside the huge yellow flowers, are tons of bumble bees, asleep inside the flower heads, so cute.  They come out all over the place with yellow trouser like legs! from the pollen.

The marrow is just one of many, we make chutney and brown sauce with them.  Or give them to our sister for her chickens as they apparently love to peck at them.

This is what the spaghetti squash looked like when I cut it in half, which was a hard job!
The half on the left has the seeds scooped out, the one on the right is what it looks like before.

You bake the halves in the oven upside down.

The one on the left is what it looks like after I forked the sides away to reveal the spaghetti style flesh of the squash.

You can see it clearer here.  Not sure what to have it with for tea, but it certainly tasted nice on its own.

Hope I haven't bored you with our allotment tales, but it certainly is one thing to be Thankful for, as we really worked hard there this Summer.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Thank You...

My Hubbie and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary yesterday.  We flew to Jersey for the day which was very nice, except it rained all day, but still we had a lovely day out.  We went to the Wildlife Park there and had a meal out.  It was very windy  and wondered whether we would actually get home but it was fine, back home in time to watch most of Bake OFF!!!! hee hee

Four of my class ladies made us these gorgeous cards,
Thank you Linda, Jean, Sue and Sara, they are all super.

Summer 2013 Extravaganza Projects.....

Hello Everyone,

I totally forgot to show you the projects for my Summer 2013 Extravaganza.

It was just before I went on the Incentive Trip, so it was a bit of a rush but here you go these are the three projects we made, using the Lacy & Lovely with the Papillon Potpourri stamp sets and the Male project used the Clockworks stamp set with Bring on the Cake.

The notelets fit in one of the Tins from Tinware Direct.  This was Project 2.

I used Primrose Petals, Pumpkin Pie and Pool Party colour combination.

Such a pretty stamp set and looks lovely and soft in these three colours.

The male project was a request for my Yeovil Ladies.  I used the clockwork stamp set in Island indigo, pumpkin pie and pool party colour combination.

We made this chocolate slide box Card and a matching gift card holder.

The last project was a Envelope Birthday Organiser.

It has 12 sections each holding inserts ready for you to make a note of the Birthday of the year to remember.  Organisation is the Key!

The Organiser opens up concertina style to reveal the inserts.

The instructions include all three projects and the inserts for the Birthday Organiser.

Wetlands Stamp Class.....

Hello Everyone,

Did you know that the Bigshot Magnetic Platform stocks have been replaced Now.

It is fantastic and such a great addition to the Bigshot for using the framelits.

In the Wetlands stamp class we made a Shadow Box card.  The magnetic platform held the framelit perfectly still so I could make sure it was dead centre.

If you would like to get yourself one, you can either order through me online using the button on the left or email me.

So back to the Wetlands stamp set.  The ladies really enjoyed this stamp set.  We mixed it with the gorgeous grunge and the sentiments are from the Morning Meadow stamp set.

I used the New Deco Label framelits.

Such a simple card, really relaxing to do sponging.  All the cards come out slightly different.

I also used the Woodgrain Background stamp set and the Woodgrain embossing folder.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Secret Garden Box Envelopes & Cards Stamp Class

Hello Everyone,

We used the Secret Garden Stamp set for class this morning with the matching framelits.

We made a larger card with a matching Box Envelope perfect for all those popped up flowers.

I also added a few normal sized cards and a matching box envelope, so there are two sizes to choose from.

I used Crisp Cantalope, Pistachio Pudding and Coastal Cobana for one set.

Then Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cobana and Pistachio Pudding for the other colour combination.

This is the large card and matching Box Envelope.

Regarding Dahlias.....

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all having a nice weekend.  We are having another Colour Challenge with my Bloomin' Buds Team.  This one is Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant and Pumpkin Pie.  I was thinking of Halloween when I choose the colour combo, but soon realised that I don't own any Halloween stamp sets that are current, so I decided to do something different.

I used Regarding Dahlias stamp set with a hint of embossing.

You can see I embossed the base card, and the three layers of flowers.  The middle layer of flowers I coloured in the petals with the versamark marker.
I used delicate details lace tape along the bottom of the elegant eggplant layer, with a small piece of designer paper.  The paper was also used with the envelope liner framelits to line the matching envelope.

If you want to play along with the colour challenge, leave me a comment with a link to your blog for us all to take a look at what you have made.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Christmas Card Buffet.......

Morning Everyone,

Have you had a chance to view the New Seasonal Catalogue yet?  There are so many wonderful products in there, that I decided to do a Christmas Card Buffet each month until the catalogue ends.

These are the 10 cards that I have come up with using 10 different stamp sets.

Every one gets to pick and choose the cards they wish to make each month.  All the bits needed are in a basket, so they just picked the card and took the basket and stamped!

I decided to use the two Christmas paper packs, Winter Frost and Seasons of Style,

These use the Winter Frost papers.

These use the Season of Style papers.

If you want to have a go, the instructions are on the right hand side.

The instructions include a list of all the products in each basket as well for you, measurements are in both centimetres and inches.

Email me if you would like to purchase any of the Stampin' UP! Products, Happy to help you.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx
