Summer Holiday....

 Hello Everyone,

We've just got back from our Summer Holidays.  This year we went to the Ardennes in Belgium to a Center Parc in Vielsalm.  It was absolutely gorgeous there.  We have been through this region when we went to Germany, its the route that lots of UPS Lorries travel on with Stampin UP! Goodies in the back hee hee.

When we arrived the town Vielsalm was holding a Witch Festival and it went on from Friday to Sunday Morning.  The Center Parc was 20 minutes walk to the centre all down hill going and all UP hill coming back.  We did lots of walking this holiday which was super.

There was this gorgeous church in the town and I took this from our parc.

Every time we went into the town we seemed to pop into this lovely Tea Room.

On Sunday Morning my hubbie and I got up a bit early and walked Sid into Town and around the lake, we had a cheeky date in the Tea Room while the boys were  in the land of Sleep!!!! Teenagers!

My boys are always hungry, sure they both have hollow legs, Daniel was looking dreamy at Roberts Waffle!

This is why, he decided to have the works on his.....Hot Chocolate Sauce.

These are my Boys!

We didn't find a Castle but we did find this Fort in a Town called La Roche - en- Ardennes.  It was an amazing drive to the Town, we seemed to go down hill for about 10miles!  There were lots of cyclists coming up the hills, glad we were in a car.

This was a view from one side of the Fort.

The boys had a go at Archery in the Fort and then we watched a Bird Show.

This is the other side.

After a week in the Ardennes we went to the North of Belgium to De Haan which has another Centre Parc. On Sunday we went to Brugges, we have been there before but totally forgot how beautiful it was.

There were gorgeous shops but most of them were closed or just opening as we were leaving.

Good Job!

I don't think any of these class as Slimming.

The waterways go all around and through Brugges, the boat stops were all done up with beautiful flowers.

Just as we were leaving Brugges a Car Race was starting, look at this car!

These are all four of my Boys! Nearly a normal photo.  I must of taken 50 before I got them to stop mucking about, what is it with boys, silly faces and photo's. Great scrapbooking for years later to
show future girl friends!!! hee hee
Sid had a wonderful time with all of us home.  He got yet another stamp in his Passport which makes 7 stamps!

If you haven't tried a Center Parc or their sister parc Sunparks, they are worth a go especially the European ones as they are a lot less in cost than the UK ones.  Especially travelling with Teenagers who are classed as adults, who think they will be coming on holiday with us until they are 30yrs old hee hee.

Anyway, Where did the nice weather go?

Aviary No.2 Stamp Class......

Hello Everyone,

When is the rain going to stop?  All the birds have left their nests in our Tree of Life in our Garden!  It was lovely to craft with the door open and the birds singing away, but they will be back next year.  A Sparrow just took a wrong turn and ended up in our Conservatory.  I would like to say Sid our Border Terrier was well behaved but not - The Sparrow did managed to find the door again though!  Last time we had a bird fall down our chimney and Sid was sitting with his mouth open under the fire place!  Naughty Dog!

We revisited the Aviary Stamp Set for this morning's class.  I went for Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi and Melon Mambo for the colour combination.  I used the Woodgrain stamp set for the background wood efftect, so pleased we have that stamp set in the main catalogue.

The class used a mixture of stamp sets and has four cards and an Owl Gift Box.

This is the Twisted Easel Card and the  matching 3" x 2" Owl Gift box which is 5" tall.

Jenny :-)xx

Bordering on Romance Stamp Class No. 2....

Morning Everyone,

Where has the sunshine gone?  Well these colours might cheer you up.  This is my second class using the Bordering on Romance Class.  There might even be a third & fourth one!!!

There's just so much to use with this set, its hard to fit them all in.  This time I went for Elegant Eggplant, Pool Party & Lucky Limeade as the colour combination.

I used the aquapainter and the inkpad to colour in the images this time, which is very relaxing.

I made a matching gift bag for a present but the cards and envelopes fit perfectly inside as well.

If you fancy playing along, the instructions are over on the right hand side.
