Happy 70th Wedding Anniversary!

My friend Yvonne asked me to make a Tri Shutter Album for a very Special Couple who are going to be celebrating their 70th Wedding Anniversary this coming Saturday. No that's not a mistake 70th!!!! How fantastic is that....

I went with Marina Mist, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla for my colour combination. I didn't do much stamping in the end, instead I used lots of the Bigshot dies and embossing folder.

I did use the Tiny Tags set though on the front and the sentiment is embossed with silver embossing powder. I haven't done that in a long while and it still amazes me, how it changes with the heat gun. I embossed the Mr & Mrs on the little tag as well. The sentiment is from a Level 2 hostess set in the Mini Catalogue.

I used the Timeless Alphabet to do the numbers and glued them to a Bevelled windowpane.
This is what the inside looks like. I used the embosslit hearts on the outer pages and the paper is blueberry crisp.
This is a close up of the hearts and the filigree brad. The vanilla layers are embossed with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder.
Open the album a bit more and you can see the back section. Yvonne is going to add a photo here.
On the sides of the back section, is the date the couple got married in 1941!!!
The bird is from the Hostess Level 1 stamp set Punch Potpourri stamped in Marina mist and punched out using the bird punch. I printed the date using word and then stamped the image from the four frames stamp set and embossed it with silver embossing powder.

The flowers are from the boho blossom punch.
The back section has a top note and a couple more hearts.
I hope they like it.

Crazy for Cupcakes Stamp Class.....

Morning All,

What glorious weather we are having....

Only trouble is an ironing pile has appeared again, after getting rid of it last week. Maybe I might start teaching my eldest how to iron! Second thoughts maybe not! Sid has been sun bathing. He seems to really like laying in the Sun, although he doesn't look like its very comfortable with all the panting he is doing! Bless him.

We have finally been offered an allotment on the council. We have been on the list for nearly 5 years.... My hubbie wants to keep both going at the same time. I said Ok. The new one does look like it needs alot of work, to start it up and then he said he thinks he is getting a bad back!!!!

What Timing, I do believe he had a bad back the last time the allotment needed digging over! Cheeky Devil.

The new one has a huge shed, he already has a spot for his kettle and chair! Chair! I ask you....

The thing I was worried about is the huge hole that looks like a RAT hole.......that will soon be filled up. Yuck!

Anyway This is the Crazy for Cupcake class we will be making tomorrow. I took the colour combination from the Celebration papers, Real Red, Pacific Point, Bashful Blue and Pear Pizzazz.
Included in the instructions is this Cupcake/Celebration Cake box. It matches the Shadow Box Card, so cute and yet quite big.

Bigshot Class Comes Early this Month.......

It's Friday Already. Someone keeps pinching our days down here in Poole! Well my Eldest has finished his Exams. He is having a relaxing day today! He has been food shopping with me and has been such a little helper Bless him! I was trying to encourage him to go into a Newsagent in an area near us to ask if they needed any one for a part time job but he was so very cute and asked if I could ask for him!!!! It's not easy when you are just starting grown up life is it.

I remember asking my first boss for a job and I was in my PJ's!!!! He used to drop ironing off to my Mum for her to do and he had a Fruit and Veg Shop near where we lived. Do you know I got that Job and I LOVED every minute of it. Such a long time ago. hee hee Now I have a Job Stamping with friends that I LOVE TO BITS, I feel so very blessed.

We had a fantastic night stamping last night. We were so Loud and were laughing so much that my cheeks are still hurting. Poor Ken was worn out from all of us miss behaving. My neighbours must wonder what on earth is happening in that Garden!!! Thanks Girls.

This is the third Bigshot Project. I decided to use the Scallop Envelope die mixed with the Daisies Die. I went back to Summer colours for this Project.

Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, and So Saffron with a hint of Pear Pizzazz. The papers are the lovely Sunny Garden in the same colour combination.
We made this cute Gift Box and 4 matching scallop envelopes complete with four matching cards.
This Daisy die has been a favourite of mine for years, so glad its in the Mini Catalogue. Hope its stays in the Next Catalogue.
These are so cute. Tiny little Scallop envelope boxes. I can't show you the chocolate as my son and I ate it!!!!
The stamp sets used are Four Frames and Oval All.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, its looks like its going to be Hot, although at the moment its a bit chilly.

French Foliage Stamp Class......

Afternoon All....

No its not Autumn yet! But as soon as I saw this stamp set in the Mini Catalogue, I knew I would enjoy using it. It's called French Foliage. It's such a lovely relaxing stamp set and you can just ink up a whole sheet of cardstock and cut it all up to size. You can't go wrong....

The colour combination is Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, More Mustard and some Crumb Cake. The other colour combination I used was Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Early Espresso and River Rock.

The class has a couple of z fold cards, a gate fold and a couple of others. We managed to get lots and lots of lovely chatting done during this class as there was NO cutting out!!! hee hee.

This is the second colour combination.

Sending a Big Thank You to the Other Stampin' Up Demonstrators who went on the Prague Incentive Trip for all the wonderful photo's you have been updating on your blogs.

I decided to stay at home to keep my Eldest on track with his Exams. He has one last one on Friday and then he can relax........ Horray!

Mini Catalogue Extravaganza........

Finally I here you saying....

Sorry for the lack of posts but with Half Term, Extravaganza and having a rare Weekend OFF, the time just flies by....

My Eldest is home from school on Study Leave as well, its really different having someone else at home (plus Hubbie who works from home anyway!) to get anything done. Only two more exams, one on Friday and one next Tuesday and then he will be done. My youngest is doing a few GCSE's early as well and he has one this morning.

Sending Positive thoughts.....hee hee and lots of fingers crossed.

Last Saturday was my Mini Catalogue Extravaganza. We made three projects again, two in the morning and one in the afternoon. The ladies worked so very hard, they went home for a well deserved rest.

There are so many products in the Mini Catalogue, it was hard to choose which ones to use.

The first project was a Mini Waterfall Album using the Baby Blossom Stamp Set and the Springtime Vintage papers.

It's just like a waterfall card but the layers are on the inside and there's plenty of spaces for photo's and journalling.
Project Two was based around the Owl Punch. We made a 3D card, a decorated Money Box and a cute Bookmark.

The Afternoon Project was using the Charity Stamp Set called Strength and Hope. Stampin' Up! donate £1 to Breast Cancer Research for every Strength and Hope Stamp set sold.

As I am repeating this Extravaganza in Yeovil, I thought it was a perfect option as Everyone coming to the Extravaganza gets their own Stamp Set to take home and keep.

The Project was a gift bag and a set of cards. The ladies made the set of cards but the instructions has the gift bag included.
The instructions are available on the right for all three projects for a Bargain Price of £3.95.

The next Extravaganza is the Christmas Extravaganza which will be on Saturday 5th November . The cost will be £35. I only have a few places left, Email me if you fancy coming along.
