Pocket Silhouettes & Blog Candy Moment.....

I made another set of cards to show using the Pocket Silhouettes. I decided on Taken with Teal, Regal Rose, So Saffron and Whisper white. The whisper white used on all the projects in the photo is textured Whisper White. If you look closely on one of the items, it has another clue as to the Special Offer in March.......??

Leave a Comment as to What you think the Special Offer is for March and I will pick a Winner on Sunday 1st March at 5pm....

The first card is Taken with Teal as a Base 12.5cm x 12.5cm. It has a layer of Regal Rose and 3 strips of paper. I pricked all around the edges and in between the strips. The paper is Sweet Always. I inked up the Pocket Silhouette using the Regal Rose and Taken with Teal markers and cut it out with a Rectangle nestie. These nesties already have the corner cut away. I layered it onto a Scallop Rectangle Nestie. I added the sentiment on a Ribbon nestie and completed it with some Whisper White ribbon.

For those at Dorset Stampers: This is my card for Val's First Card Challenge - CARD No. 1.

This card base is So Saffron. I added some Textured Whisper white which I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the bottom to do the Scallops.

The centre section is So Saffron Designer paper, Regal Rose cardstock and Ribbon. I stamped the Pocket Silhouettes in So Saffron and Taken with Teal. All 3 layers were cut out using Square Nesties.

For the Sentiment I covered some CHIPBOARD LETTERS in Sweet Always paper.
Remember my box in my Class this week. Well I made a slightly different one, to fit some Chocolates they have at Lidl's. They are sold 12 for £1.25 and VERY VERY TASTY. We get through lots on a Tuesday.
The middle section slides out and holds the chocolates. I didn't do an insert this time as the chocolates fit in there perfectly.

Do you know the box is really heavy! MMM!

Have you Guessed What the Offer is Yet?

Pocket Silhouettes.....

This is the inside of the box, It holds 8 of the Chocolates. I was going to wrap them in paper, but I have ran out of this paper!

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Two Little Butterflies......

These are actually Chipboard Butterflies. I haven't really used Chipboard before so its as New to me as maybe some of you. I coloured the edges of the butterflies first with white stazon ink. Then I traced around the butterflies on whisper white textured cardstock. I cut out the butterflies and stamped the Pocket Silhouettes flower in Old Olive over one side. Next I glued on the cardstock to the Butterfly chipboard and rubbed the edges with a sanding block. I think the long nail files do a good job in getting into tiny areas, will have to slip one in with my shopping at the weekend!!!

When you sand down the edges, they become sort of shabby chic! I added a couple of buttons and linen thread to the centre of the butterflies to finish.
I used some circle nesties in So Saffron, Old Olive (textured cardstock) to lay the butterflies on. The papers are So Saffron and Old Olive. Its very fresh looking and the sentiment stands out in the whisper white.
The Ribbon tag was used to cut out the sentiment, which is from Wow Flowers stamp set. Some gorgeous White Taffeta ribbon was wrapped around the layers and finished with a knot.

There is another Special Offer for March - More Later......

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Bloomin with Beauty - Versatility Box

Well it seems to be another Box Week this week! I just love making Boxes - Can you tell?

I found a Video on Laurens Website for this Very useful Versatility Box. Lauren designs the Timeless Templates for Papertrey and You can find the link from her Blog Here.

The Timeless Templates are a paying service but well worth investing in. You can find the Video on Lauren's Blog for this Versatility Box, which she has kindly done for FREE.

If you watch the Video, you will find out what sort of things this box is useful for and I'm sure we all hunt for little gifts to alter and this box is just for those little items we find on our Treasure Hunts.

For my attempt, I used Rose Red, Old Olive cardstock and Designer papers. You will need one sheet of 12 x 12 and one of A4, as our cardstock isn't 8 1/2" wide. My Class on Tuesday is Bloomin with Beauty stamp set and I always make another few things using the same stamp set but in a different colourway.
I used a square nestie to make a frame for the top and the centre square was turned at an angle underneath, as the Scallop Frame is popped up on foam pads. A scallop circle was used for the centre.
I added some dots in the scallops with the white gel pen and before adding the top layers, I added some Rose Red double stitched ribbon. I will probably add a little gift label, but I didn't get that far. Our House was a Mad House yesterday, with the Boys being home and playing on the XBox!! I felt like I was working in a War Zone and constantly being shot at or Blown Up! Hee! He!
For the inside, I have made a circle cut out to hold a Yankie Candle - Mmm! Have you smelt those Candles, They are so Yummy.

Anyway Enough of me Waffling on and on, Pop over to Laurens Blog and say Hi!

Live Your Dream Stamp Class

I hope you enjoyed the tutorial yesterday for the Scallop Bag. This is the Project we will be making for my Class on Live Your Dream Stamp set. The Tea & Crumpets papers are just Delish!!!
We were hoping to go to the Movies today, But there just isn't any Boy Movies on at the moment! Lots of Girlie ones but I just got funny faces when I was suggesting one of those. Even the Doggie Movies aren't a Go! Oh! Well......Back to Crafting then:-) Hee Hee!
This box is very similiar to the one I did with the Circle Scallops. A Bottle of Perfume will fit in it perfectly.

Live Your Dream.......

We made this card yesterday at our Girlie get together.
The Stamp set is Live Your Dream and I just love the tall flowers. I used Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Sage Shadow cardstock. The embossed part is the distressed stripes cuttlebug folder. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations. I stamped the Pale Plum textured cardstock with the En Francais Background stamp and went over the top with the tiny butterfly in Perfect Plum. I then added the embossed piece of Sage Shadow to a piece of Perfect Plum. The scallop edge punch was used to make the bottom scallops and a stay put knot was added using the white grosgrain. The SU Markers were used the colour the rubber stamp and then I huffed (Hee!) and stamped it on Whisper white. I'm not telling my hubbie you ink it and huff on it, he will come up with a Theme Tune, teach my boys it and then I will never here the end of it!!! :-)
I played around with this card, while I had the colours out. I was trying to reproduce the scallop notes using the nesties, but they are a touch too small. I'm not really happy with the marks on the acetate, Anyone got any good ideas on How to keep acetate clean??? Let me know please.
This is the inside of the first card.

Anyway, I am determined that I won't be ironing all Half Term next week, so I am off to get that done now.

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)

Heartfelt Valentine Wishes........

This is the card I made for my three Craft Buddies. Hey! We crafted today and actually got to make 3 cards and we managed to chat and laugh at the very same time! How Clever are we? For the last few months - We managed to chat and eat more than making cards - But we are BACK!!!! Hee! Hee!

The base card is Real Red 12.5cm x 12.5cm - not for any reason other than, that was the only size square envelopes I had. Then a layer of Basic Black and then some whisper white which was cuttlebugged with Swiss Dots. I used Hearts Nesties and Simply Said Stamp Set. I coloured the flowers in with Pixie Pink, Pink Passion and Real Red.

I slipped a secret message behind the larger hearts, just by popping up the front hearts but leaving a space in the middle. The sentiment is Best Yet a Hostess Level One FREE stamp set.

I added a strip of Real Red designer paper from the Hostess Paper Pad to finish this card off.

See you tomorrow,

Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Lifes a Breeze...........

I made these Sunday when the weather was cold, snowy and windy!!! Do you think I was wishing for Sun?

The stamp set is Lifes a Breeze and the colours are Real Red, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue. The papers are called Summer Picnic. I made a Criss Cross card, Z Fold Card and a Card using Tons of Scallop circles.

Can you see I went overboard with the cutting for this project.
I added a cover to one of Stampin UP!'s Gift Bags - They are very useful to have and are very reasonable £1.95 for 3.

Bloomin' Beautiful......Shadow Card.

Hi There, Sorry I haven't updated much this week, but HEY! My VAT return is complete, so back to business next week.... The snow returned here yesterday and my Boys were sent home at lunch. They arrived home with tons of Boys!!! Hence to say we didn't get our work done and they emptied the cupboards of food. Cor! I needed to make a card today. So when we got back from the beach (went to get seaweed for the allotment compost bins), I pulled out this stamp set. I have a Class on it next week and this is one of the cards we will be making. Its a shadow card. I have made a few of these sorts as they fold flat for posting, but also stand up nicely.

I started by stamping the Hydrangeas 4 times on Very Vanilla, then coloured them in using the SU Markers. I layered different parts of the flower and popped them up using 3D foam pads. I couldn't make my mind up whether to add glitter or not! What do you think?

For the base card, cut 2 pieces of cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", score each sides at 1/2" and 1", this allows it to fold flat and also pop up to form a 3D shape. I used nesties to cut the circle in the front piece and also to cut the scallop frame in More Mustard. For the inside I added a piece of So Saffron and So Saffron designer paper before I stamped the blossum verse all over the So Saffron in the same ink.
For the sentiment, I added a Pewter hodge podge hardware frame and brads. The sentiment is from Always in My Thoughts stamp set.
This is the bowl of flowers coloured in with the SU Markers.

You can see all the layers in this photo.

Hope you have a nice weekend, Happy Stamping!
Thanks for looking,
Jenny:-)xx

Its a Snow Day! Or is it GroundHog Day?

Schools have been cancelled today, My Boys are so excited. We have a hill outside our back garden on the heath and I think they will be out there today!!!!

My Stamp Class is rescheduled to next Tuesday.......

We walked on the paper round today and I must say it was very pleasant. The paths looked like they were covered in Dazzling Diamonds....

Have a good day,

Jenny:-)xx

One of a Kind Stamp Class Tomorrow....

For this weeks Stamp Class, I am using the One of a Kind Stamp Set...... This is the Stamp Set, I used for my first Magazine Entry in the Craft Stamper - But with a Different Project - Available now this week. Its a Gift Card Holder and Three Cards, but unfortunately, I can't put them on my blog. If you want to see the Project, You will have to Buy a Copy of the Magazine.

The stamp set works so well with the Boho Blossum Punch. You must know me by now, that I love to cut things out, but Hey! Who wouldn't use a punch if there was one. Well with Stampin Up! they do try and think of these things.

I have always used this set with Chocolate chip, Rose Red and Pretty in Pink colourway, but as I used that for the Project in the Magazine, I thought I would come up with a different one for my class tomorrow.
I decided to split my class in two halfs and get in 2 colourways. For the first 2 items, I used Lavendar Lace, Pretty in Pink, Whisper white and Barely Banana. This card is a buckle card, using the Scallop Border Punch to make the Buckle stay put.... I do hope the Girls like cutting out tomorrow! Well at least the tiny flowers are punched out with the Boho Blossum punch, so that should help. I can hear them now - Saying J E N N Y!!!!

I used a cuttlebug embossing strip for the dots and the pricking tool & mat lots.

This is such a cute little box, You can find my original box in an earlier post and I filled it with chocolate in a clear bag. I used the Petite Oval Nesties on this box. I wished I stamped the sentiment without the brackets! I stamped the flowers all on whisper white cardstock and added some soft subtles barely banana brads to the centres.

One of a Kind Class....

This is the second half of this weeks stamp class. A Joy Fold card and a litte sweetie box. I was given a little box the same as this last Friday by another Stampin Up! Demonstrator. You can see her Blog HERE.
I used Lavendar Lace, Bashful Blue and Whisper white, with Bashful Blue Designer Papers. The Curved Rectangle Nestie Dies were used for the part that opens out and also the centre of both the front and inside. I went back to my Pewter Hodge Podge hardware which is still Available..... For the large flower, it was stamped in Lavendar Lace on textured Bashful Blue cardstock and cut out. Then it was stamped on Lavendar Lace textured cardstock and the centre part was cut out and mounted to the Bashful blue. For the centre, I stamped the flower in Lavendar Lace on whisper white and the centre was cut out and layered, I used the Crop a Dile to add a Jumbo Eyelet and Blue Rhinestone. A few clear rhinestones from Paper Mania was added to the other 2 stamped flowers.
You can see the Sweetie Box holds one tiny Ferrero Rocher Chocolate. The diddie little tray holding it is Bashful Blue Designer Paper, folded by the Origami folds. Visit Joanne's Blog for all the measurements.

Got to go and Brace the Snow now, to collect my youngest as he walked to school today instead of cycling. Sid loved the snow this morning, his beard was full of the white stuff........The people were laughing at the Bus Stop.

Thanks for looking,

Jenny:-)xx
